Sensex up 63 pts, heavy buying in Small and Midcaps

Mumbai, July 31: The BSE sensitive index (Sensex) today fell from a high of 10,853 reached in the mid-day trade, to close at 10743.88, which is 63 points more than the previous close.

The high reached during the day's trade was the result of strong buying noticed in the midcap and the smallcap sectors today, largely on account of steady to firm Asian markets.
