Save them before they die, say surrendered ultras
North Kashmir, July 31 (UNI) Kashmiri militants in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) are committing suicide while others beg to survive, 12 ultras, who surrendered after their return from across the border, said.
''Please save them before all of them commit suicide in PoK,'' the militants, belonging to different organisations, told journalists immediately after they laid down their arms.
With faces covered due to security reasons, the surrendered militants freely interacted with mediapersons, giving details about the involvement of the ISI and the functioning of training camps across the border.
The entire infrastructure of camps in PoK, where militants are being trained, is intact and flourishing, they said and added that the ISI coordinates and controls them.
They also confirmed that Pakistan's involvement in abetting militancy in Jammu and Kashmir in terms of moral, financial and material support from across the Line of Control, remains undiminished.
However, the surrendered ultras revealed that there is a growing disillusionment among the cadres as Tanzeem leaders enjoy a plush life style while the common Kashmiri militant is paid Rs 500-1000 a month.
