Riyals 37,000 recovered from accused in train blasts' case
Mumbai, July 31 (UNI) The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) probing the July 11 serial train blasts here has recovered riyals 37,000 from an arrested accused in the case.
ATS Joint Commissioner of Police K P Raghuvanshi told newspersons here that the money was recovered from the accused - Faizal Sheikh.
He said the money, which was brought into the country via 'hawala' transaction, had been sent by his brother and riyals 25,000 were sent a few days before the blasts and were recovered from the city, while the remaining riyals 12,000 were recovered from Pune, from where Faizal was arrested.
Mr Raghuvanshi also informed that the leads they have got so far in the case reach upto the State of Jammu and Kashmir and added that they are in constant touch with the security agencies there for cooperation and information gathering.
