Prosecution argument is in the final stage in Kohli case

New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) The recording of arguments of the prosecution is in the final stage in the rape and murder of British school girl Hannah Foster in which Maninder Pal Singh Kohli is the main accused.

Appearing before the Patiala House Court Additonal Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Kamini Lau, senior public prosecutor A K Vali and Naveen Kumar Matta argued for the prosecution.

''The arguments are now almost finished and the order on extraditing Kohli to England would come at any point of time,'' said Mr Vali talking to UNI.

Kohli, facing extradition trial for allegedly raping and murdering British school girl Hannah Foster in Southhampton on March 19, 2003, was arrested on July 15, 2003, from Panighata in Siliguri sub-division's Naxalbari area under Darjeeling district while he was trying to cross over to Nepal.

He was arrested under Sections 376 (Rape) and 302 (Murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
