Prasar Bharati has no plan of launching channel

New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) Minister for Information and Broadcasting Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi today informed the Lok Sabha in a written reply, that Prasar Bharati has no plans of launching an exclusive news channel.

Mr Dasmunsi however, said the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation has informed that they have initiated a study to assess the feasibility of a 24- hour TV channel on Agriculture. Therefore , no time frame can be given, he added.
