Power situation remains satisfactory, 3400 MW peak demand met

New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) Despite the capital having a rainless day today, the power situation in the capital remained satisfactory with the discoms being able to meet the 3400 MW peak time power demand.

However, half an hour of loadshedding of around 55 MW was effected in a few localities to maintain the grid discipline.

The overall power situation has remained satisfactory all through the last week following the capital recieving the heaviest spell of Monsoon rains.

More than 150 mm of rainfall was recorded last week alone.
