Naga ceasefire extended by one year

Bangkok, July 31 (UNI) Indian Government representative K Padmanabhaiah and NSCN (IM) leader T Muivah today reached an agreement to extend the Naga ceasefire by one year.

The agreement was concluded after protracted negotiations on July 29-30 here.

A joint communique issued by the two sides said the NSCN proposals with respect to implementation and monitoring of the ceasefire would be considered promptly by the Indian government.
