MP constables to be trained in ravines

Bhind, MP, July 31 (UNI) With the objective of combating Chambal division's dacoits and other antisocial elements, Madhya Pradesh Police constables will be imparted with special training within ravines.

''The training will include plunging into rivers during searches, climbing trees, protecting oneself from snakes, scorpions, wild animals, camping within a jungle at night etc,'' DIG (Chambal Division) D C Sagar said here today at a meeting of police superintendents of Bhind, Datia, Sheopur and Morena.

The DIG instructed the officers to visit villages and win people's confidence so that vital information is passed on to the police.
