Modernisation of madarsas in MP
Mandsaur, MP, July 31 (UNI) In order to provide professional education to Muslim students in Madhya Pradesh, madarsas would be modernised on the lines of excellent schools.
Madarsa Board Chairman S K Muddin said modernisation of madarsas and imparting professional education would pave the road for better employment opportunities for Muslims.
Pointing out that the Madarsa Board had been reconstituted to raise education levels of children of minorities, he said adequate funds had been provided for this purpose. Funds had been made available to 466 madarsas.
He said the state had 5,300 madarsas in which about 2.75 lakh Muslim children were receiving Islamic education.
The Madarsa Board Chairman said madarsas did not impart anti-national and terrorist training to students.
Regarding Madhya Pradesh link to terrorist activities, he said SIMI and similar organisations were active in some parts of the state but police were taking strict action against them.
