Mazaar's priest succumbs to wounds

Jaunpur, July 31 (UNI) A 'muzabir' (priest) of a 'mazaar', who was allegedly wounded by unidentified miscreants, succumbed to injuries at a private hospital in Varanasi today.

Police said Khalil Shah (70) was brutally beaten by miscreants on July 21, when he was sleeping at the 'mazaar' of Sayed Baba under Chandwak police station area here.

Shah was rushed to hospital, where he died early today.

Meanwhile, his body had been brought here for cremation.

A case had been registered and a manhunt launched.
