Maoists in interim cabinet after arms management: Koirala

Kathmandu, July 31 (UNI) Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has said Maoists would be included in the interim government after they are disarmed.

In a meeting with the visiting UN peace team, the Prime Minister also urged the world body to help in the management of arms of the rebels. Mr Koirala also gave the updates to the team of the ongoing dialogue between the government and the Maoists.

According to Prime Minister's foreign advisor Dr Suresh Chalise, the team urged the PM to furnish the details about what the government seeks when it wants the UN role in peace process.

After the meeting, head of the team Staffan de Mistura said the PM had a clear vision on the current peace process, adding the UN would decide on the help it could provide only after all parties concerned reached a common understanding.

The UN team is visiting the Himalayan Kingdom following the request of Nepal government for the peace process there.
