Iran offers help to conserve Delhi Monuments
New Delhi July 31 (UNI) Iran has offered help for restoration of monuments in the capital, Delhi government said.
The offer was made at a meeting between Iranian Ambassador to India Siyavash Zargar Yaghoubi and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit at the Delhi Secretariat, an official spokesman said.
Mr Yaghoubi ''offered Iranian expertise in restoration of various monuments in Delhi, which he said, would help in promoting tourism'', the spokesman said.
The Ambassador while appreciating the changing face of the capital, expressed confidence that the Commonwealth Games of 2010 would provide an opportunity to Delhi to develop as a world-class city.
