Illegal spirit worth Rs 20 lakh seized

Palakkad, July 31 (UNI) Police seized illegal spirit worth Rs 20 lakh from a lorry coming from Tamil Nadu near here in the early hours today.

On a tip off, the Walayar Police conducted the search and seized about 12,250 litres of illegal spirit.

The driver of the lorry had been arrested.

It was not known where the lorry was heading, they added.
