GE Shipping Q1 net down by 22 pc to Rs 276 cr

Mumbai, July 31 (UNI) Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) has posted a net profit of Rs 275.93 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 353.42 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, a dip of 21.92 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income has decreased from Rs 770.93 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, to Rs 661.26 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.
