Bhattacharjee dodges CAB querries

Kolkata, July 31 (UNI) Rattled by the CAB results Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today refused to comment on Jogmohan Dalmiya's re-election as the President of the state cricket association here last night.

Dalmiya won the polls yesterday, defying Mr Bhattacharjee's wishes and defeating his protege police commissioner Prasun Mukherjee.

Asked on the sidelines of signing the MoU with the Salim group to comment on the CAB polls, Mr Bhattacharjee said, ''I have nothing to say now. I will talk about it in due time.'' Dalmiya's 'audacious' victory has left the state government embarrassed as they had employed their might to see him unseated.

But Dalmiya again proved that he had enough caucus in the maidan and cricketing intrigue to do the unthinkable.
