Bappaditya and Kaushik released, search on for Arundhuti

Purulia, JulY 31 (UNI) The two Jadavpur University students who were detained for interrogation and for identifying the bodies of their friends were released here tonight.

Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Yadav informed that Bappaditya's and Kaushik's parents had come to take their children home.

Mr Yadav, however, said they would have to report to the police if asked to as part of the investigation.

Meanwhile, efforts are still on to trace Miss Arundhuti Ghosh, M.Pharma student of a 5-member trekking team of Jadavpur University, who went missing since Friday night after a mishap, that has already killed two members, police said today.

Bodies of Suvankar Saha (24) and Swati Das (22) have been found at the bank of a local river on Saturday.

Before that two other members-Bappaditya Chatterjee and Kaushik Sarkar--had been rescued by local people on Friday night.

Five students, who had gone trekking at Mathaburu in Bagmundi of Purulia district met with an accident.
