Apeejay, Sheikh Sarai overall winners in inter-school competitio

New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai has won the overall trophy in the just-concluded Annual inter-school festival 'Utsav' hosted by the Birla Vidya Niketan, Saket.

DPS Mathura Road won the 'Rangalaap' competition while the other events were won by DPS R K Puram (Manthan and Nritya Aradhana), New Era Public school (Cross Currents), Springdales, Daula Kuan (Sangeet Sadhana), Cambridge School, Shrinivaspuri (Cloud Burst) and Modern School, Vasant Vihar, Apeejay, Saket, Mount Carmel School and Spring Dales Duala Kuan (Tech Edge).

As many as 18 schools participated in the 'Utsav' festival, a rainbow of events comprising English and Hindi debate, Indian music, dance choreography, art and clay modelling, computer and electronics and western music, held during July 24-29.

In the English debating competition, Vihan Dang of DPS Vasant Kunj, Amish Behl of Springdales, Dhula Kuan and Sahil Agnihotri of New Era School won the first prize. The second position went to Mehar Khurana from DPS R K Puram and the third position was shared by Disha from Vishwa Bharti School and Parul Nanda of New Era School.

The overall trophy went to New Era Public School.

School Manager Col. R C Laddha and officiating Principal Ranjana Joshi gave away the prizes to the winning schools. Birla Vidya Niketan Education Adviser J N Dayal congratulated the participants.
