Anbazhagan challenges Jaya to move no trust motion
Chennai, July 31 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Finance Minister and Leader of the House K Anbazhagan today challenged Leader of the Opposition and AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa to move a no confidence motion to prove her charge that the DMK was heading a ''minority'' government.
The remarks made by her resulted in noisy scenes in the House, with the Opposition and Treasury Benches indulging in heated exchanges, prompting Mr Anbazhagan to throw the challenge.
''If the Leader of the Opposition has enough evidence to prove that this government is 'minority', she can bring in a no confidence motion to pack off the government'', he asserted.
At one stage, Speaker R Avudaiyappan said the remark ''minority'' made by Ms Jayalalithaa be expunged.
