32 Indians arrive from Lebanon

Amritsar, July 31 (UNI) Thirty-two Indians, including three women and two children who were evacuated from war-torn Lebanon, arrived here this evening.

All the evacuees are residents of Punjab and they were pulled out of Lebanon by the Indian Navy and transported to Cyprus. They arrived in Mumbai yesterday by a special Air India flight.

The district administration made arrangements for taking the evacuees to their respective homes. They were also medically examined at the Raja Sansi airport on their arrival by an Indian Airlines flight.

So far 175 Punjabis had been evacuated from Lebanon ever since Israel war planes started impounding that country.

In the first batch 54 evacuees from the state had arrived while in the second batch 89 came back home.
