VSP commissions ambient air monitoring stations
Visakhapatnam, July 30 (UNI) Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) General Manager S Saran today commissioned three ambient air monitoring stations (AAMS) on its premises.
According to a release here, the AAMS would monitor the quality of air and measure suspended particles, carbonmonoxide, sulphur oxide, nitrous oxide and hydrocarons and also the impact of the plant's operation on global warming.
The ambient air quality over VSP continued to remain one of the best in the country and all parameters were well within the specified norms and even below the specifications of the United States Environment Protection Act, it claimed.
