Villagers help police nab four dacoits

Beed, Maharashtra, July 30 (UNI) Rural police with help from local villagers managed to arrest four dacoits in Georai tehsil in the district today.

Acting on a tip-off, the police team led by villagers chased the armed dacoits and finally nabbed four of them, while one managed to give them the slip, District Superintendent of Police (DSP) Santosh Rastogi said.

The police have seized a knife, sticks and other arms, besides cash and ornaments from the dacoits.

The DSP has announced cash rewards to the police team who nabbed the dacoits. And the villages who helped the police team in this effort will also be felicitated, the DSP added.
