Unprecedented security net in CAB polls

Kolkata, Jul 30 (UNI) Even as the high voltage CAB polls are under way Eden Gardens and its premises have been brought under an unprecendented security net featuring at least nine top level police officials.

The CAB election has taken a separate significance this year with police commissioner Prasun Mukherjee contesting for the president's post against incumbent CAB president Jagmohan Dalmiya.

More than 150 police personnel have covered the B C Roy Club House premises under an invincible security net.

On duty are Additional CP(1) Subrata Narayan, Joint CP Kuldip Singh, Joint CP (AP) Zulfikar Hasan, Joint CP (TP) Ranvir Kumar, DC (South) Ajay Kumar, DC (Traffic) Javed Shameem, DC (RF) Hari Kusumakar, DC (DD1) Gyanwant Singh and DC (SB1) Vineet Goyal.

Besides this there are 18 inspectors, 16 sub-inspector seargents, 60 lathi-police, two sections of task force and a sizeable gathering of SB personnel.

Elections are being held for the post of president, two joint secretaries, four vice-presidents and the treasurers posts, besides, the working committee.

The number of legitimate voters were 118 of whom 117 came for the elections.
