JD(U) MLA still at large despite warrant against him : RJD

Patna, July 30 (UNI) RJD today alleged that JD(U) MLA Ranvijay Kumar Singh, an accused in a murder case, was still at large and police was ''not arresting'' him due to ''patronage of Nitish government''.

Addressing the mediapersons here, national general secretary of RJD, Shyam Rajak said Mr Kumar was accused in a case related to murder of one Brijnandan Yadav of Rampur village under Goh police station of Aurangabad district.

He said that while dying Mr Yadav had stated in his declaration that Mr Kumar had fired the shot.

On the basis of the statement of the victim, a case was lodged against the JD(U) MLA in Goh police station.

Mr Yadav was killed on February 3, 2005 while order for attaching the property of JD(U) MLA was issued by Chief Judicial Magistrate of Aurangabad in February 2006.

Mr Rajak alleged that police was not arresting Mr Kumar despite the fact that he had attended several official functions in which Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh were present.
