Dalmiya re-elected as CAB president

Kolkata, July 30 (UNI) Jagmohan Dalmiya tonight retained the seat of CAB president, defeating his arch opponent Police Commissioner Prasun Mukherjee by five votes.

While 61 votes were polled in favour of Dalmiya, Mr Mukherjee got 56 votes. Elections were held on the basis of 117 votes as ABP Sports Club did not come.

It has also been learnt that two Joint secretaries from Mr Dalmiya's panel have won the elections, which includes Saradindu Pal and Amitava Banerjee and Treasurer Shiv Kumar Kalyani.
