CPM to launch 'August Campaign' in Haryana from August 1
Fatehabad, Jul 30 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has decided to launch its 'August Campaign' in Haryana from August one.
During the campaign, the party would organise three big rallies at Panipat, Hisar and Rohtak and mass contact programme at grass root level in villages, said CPM state secretary Inderjit Singh here today.
Mr Singh said that the 'August Campaign' of the party was a step in the direction of its efforts to mobilize people for the third alternative in the country.
The party, he said, would focus on different issues that have been identified by the its workers.
He said that senior CPM leader Sitaram Yechuri would address the first rally of the party under the August Campaign at Panipat on August 12. The second rally to be held at Hisar on August 20 would be addressed by Mr Hanan Mollah, a member of the Central Secretariat of the party. The CPM Polit Bureau member, Ms Brinda Karat would address the third rally be held at Rohtak on August 27, he added.
