Sensex opens in green at 47 pts but drifts

Mumbai, Jul 28: The BSE sensitive index (Sensex) today opened 47 points in the green on account of firm to steady global market performance, however, the positivity short lived and soon drifted the Sensex down in the red.

The Sensex opened at 10,787.65 compared to the previous close of 10,617.27 points and is currently trading at 10,726.67 points.

Major BSE sectoral indices were in red like IT, Auto, FMCG and Oil and Gas.

The losers on the index are - TCS, Bajaj Auto, Infosys and HDFC down beetween 0.66 o 50.78 per cent.

The gainers are Dr Reddy's Lab, SBI, BHEL, Tata Steel and Ranbaxy all up between 0.62 to 4.15 per cent.
