Sensex up 150 points in intra-noon trade
Mumbai, July 27: Buoyed by the positivity in the Asian markets, the BSE sensitive Index continued its rally though it declined from the high reached during the mid-morning session.
Currently, the sensitive index is trading at 10,706.79 which is 89.52 points more than the previous close of 10,617.27.
Key benchmark Asian indices in Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore were up by between 1.3 to 2 per cent.
Amongst the BSE Sectoral indices the Banking scrips are still down by 0.49 per cent. The Midcap, smallcap, Capital Goods and all other indices are in the green.
Major losers on the index are-SBI, Reliance Communications, Gujarat Anbuja cement, Ranbaxy, and HDFC Bank, all down between 0.11 to 2.90 per cent.
Besides the scrips that gained on the index were- Maruti, BHEL, ONGC, Dr Reddy's, Wipro, Grasim, NTPC, HDFC, HLL and Cipla, all up between 1.85 to 3.62 per cent.
