Colleague of murdered call centre employee arrested
Bangalore, July 26: Police today arrested a 27-year-old coleague of brutally murdered call centre employee Tania Banerji, whose body was found in the forest near Sakleshpura in Hassan district about 220 km from here today.
Police official sources said they arrested one Kishore in the city this evening, in connection with the murder. Police had taken to the spot where the body was found.
The 25-year-old Tania belonging to West Bengal, was a trainee employee of the city based AVIVA-24/7 call centre near Whitefield, on the outskirts of the city. She had joined during June and she attended training class during the day on July 24 and she had left for home after attending classes yesterday, a company official said.
Sakleshpur police said the body, with several stab wounds, on the face and on the torso, was sighted by the villagers early this morning.
Police suspected that the culprits might have kidnapped Bargi while returning from work from a call centre in Whitefield late last night and later killed her.
