Call centre employee abducted, brutually murdered

Bangalore, July 26: A 25-year-old woman employee of a city Call Centre, hailing from West Bengal, was found brutally murdered near Sakaleshpura in Hassan district of Karnataka today.

Police said the body of Sania Bargi, bearing several stab injuries on the face and torso, was sighted by the villagers.

Police suspect that the culprits might have kidnapped Bargi while returning from work from a call centre in Whitefield late last night and later killed her.

Police established her identity with the help of her identity card.

The motive behind the murder was yet to be ascertained.

The gruesome murder brought back bitter memories of the kidnap, rape and murder of Prathiba Srikanthamurthy of a city-based call centre in December last, sending shock waves across the country.
