U.S. stocks open flat on mixed earnings

NEW YORK, July 25 (Reuters) U.S. stocks were little changed on Tuesday after a mixed batch of earnings reports, including quarterly profit and outlook from United Parcel Service Inc., which missed expectations.

Chip maker Texas Instruments Inc., however, reassured investors with its outlook after the closing bell on Monday, helping to counter the UPS disappointment.

The Dow Jones industrial average was down 17.75 points, or 0.16 percent, at 11,033.30. The Standard&Poor's 500 Index was down 1.61 points, or 0.13 percent, at 1,259.30. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 3.22 points, or 0.16 percent, at 2,058.62.
