RPF jawan killed by Maoists

Aurangabad, Jul 25 (UNI) A jawan of Railway Protection Force (RPF) was shot dead by the activists of CPI(Maoist) at Rafiganj station under Mughalsarai division of East Central Railway today.

Two carbines were looted from other RPF jawans by the ultras.

Deputy Police Superintendent Anjani Kumar Sinha said here that extremists attacked a stationed compartment of 741 UP Gaya-Mughalsarai fast passenger train and shot dead the RPF jawan, Radheshyam Sharma. The exact number of extremists involved in the incident could not be ascertained due to darkness. An intensive search operation was on to nab ultras.
