RIL denies ADAG allegations; calls them ''malicious''

Mumbai, July 25 (UNI) Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) today said it has always fulfilled all its obligations and commitments and would continue to do so in the future.

The statement by RIL comes in the wake of media reports about the alleged blocking of the executives of Mukesh Ambani controlled Reliance Petroleum by the Anil Ambani camp from entering their workplace located inside the DAKC yesterday, as a result of which the Mukesh Ambani group executives were forced to park their cars outside the complex.

A circular to ADFAG employees had yesterday clearly stated that the services to the petrol pumps in Mumbai are being terminated due to the non-payment of dues worth Rs 200 crores for the use of facilities at DAKC for over a year, the reports added.

A RIL statement issued here said, ''current set of issues raised by the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG), are an attempt to divert attention away from petty acts of harassment of RIL employees at Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City (DAKC).'' ''Propagation of false and baseless allegations, relating to RIL's intent to dishonour its commitments, is clearly intended to instigate entities with whom RIL has a long history of good business relations,'' the statement said adding, ''these are malicious allegations and are denied.'' If ADAG has any grievance, it should approach the appropriate forum for resolution, the statement said.

Post the Reliance split, the ADAG group had asked the rival group to change identity cards of its executives.

However, the Mukesh group allegeldly failed to honour its commitment to change the cards for its employees, forcing the ADAG camp to block the entry, media reports said.
