NSC's LeT infiltration note was not based on facts:Pranab

New Delhi, July 25 (UNI) Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said an investigation found that a note prepared by the National Security Council on infiltration of two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists into the Indian Air Force ''was not based on facts.'' The inquiry was conducted by the Intelligence Bureau and other agencies as well as the IAF, Mr Mukherjee told the Lok Sabha during a debate on an adjourment motion on the Mumbai blasts.

The Minister said the reported comments about two LeT men getting jobs in the IAF were part of a background material prepared for state police and security agencies by the National Security Council Secretariat.

A probe was, however, ordered into the suspected infiltration, he said, adding the inquiry found that ''the suspicion was not based on facts''.
