Employee of Patna Treasury sent to jail
Patna, Jul 25 (UNI) Special vigilance judge of Patna, Ram Niwas Prasad, today remanded an asistant of district treasury Girish Kumar to judicial custody in a case of cheating and disproportionate assets.
The accused was produce before the designated judge by the State Vigilance Investigation Bureau under the charges of Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Corruption Act.
The judge sent the accused to jail till August, 7.
According to the charges, the accused had amassed wealth nearly Rs. 38.61 lakh from 1992 to 2004. As per the FIR, more than Rs. 27.41 lakh were found in the saving account of the accused. The vigilance department had arrested the accused after an FIR was registered today.
