Court orders registration of FIR against ICICI bank

New Delhi, July 25 (UNI) A city court today directed police to file an FIR against ICICI bank and its employees for cheating and defrauding a prospective client Metropolitan Magistrate Ashutosh Kumar directed that the FIR name Bank Area manager Ankit Sharma and four other ICICI employees working at the Jhandewala Head Office of the bank.

Complainant Kapil Jain had applied for a car loan in the bank on 2005 and completed some paper work.

However, he changed his mind and cancelled the deal.

Despite Mr Jain not availing the loan, the bank still debited three instalments from his account in August, September and November 2005.
