Prohibited orders promulgated in West Tripura

Agartala, Jul 22: Prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC has been promulgated with immediate effect along the bordering areas with Bangladesh in West Tripura to maintain peace and to protect public property.

According to an official release, the prohibitory orders will be in force within 500 metres from International Border.

The orders will remain in force till September 17 from 8 am to 5 am.

Those who will defy the orders will be prosecuted under the law, except law enforcing agencies, police and armed forces, the release added.
