Mobile, broadband services collapse in Manipur
Imphal, Jul 22 (UNI) The broadband service in Manipur has collapsed for the seventh time this month, causing complete break down in internet backbone of the state.
Cellone mobile services of BSNL also continued to show dismal picture without any improvement over the last two years.
BSNL officials said the break down in broadband services was due to failure in Nagaland sector and the senior officials of the BSNL were concerned about the repeated break down in services.
Officials said BSNL had introduced Cellone mobile services in the state recently. But the service had been facing problems with the subscribers due to non-availability of signals and bad services.
Prepaid vouchers and top up were not freely available in the market.
The subscribers claimed that BSNL never introduced any scheme, which was available in the rest of the country, and there was no customer care centre in the state.
