CM launches insurance scheme for firemen in Goa
Panaji, July 22 (UNI) Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane launched an insurance scheme for fire servicemen in Goa at a function held at Chief Minister's chamber, at Porvorim today.
Under the Insurance Scheme, New India Assurance Company, Vasco Divisional office, the fireman is insured for Rs one lakh in case of death and Rs 50,000 in case of permanent disability like paralysis.
The School going children in case of death of the father will be given Rs 2,500 per child every year. Three hundred fifty five firemen are insured under the scheme.
In case of hospitalisation of fireman following accident will be given Rs 1,000 per week and 40 per cent, of the medical bills.
The Chief secretary J P Singh, Ashok Menon, Director of Fire and Emergency services and Dr Bal Krishna Poi, Senior Division Manager New India Assurance Company, Vasco, were also present on the occasion.
