Apang urges BRO, Gammon India to complete bridge over Siang river

Itanagar, Jul 22 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Gegong Apang has issued strict instructions to the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and Gammon India Limited to complete the construction of bridge over Siang river within this year.

Mr Apang, who made a surprise visit to the site at Raneghat in East Siang district, asked Gammon India and BRO personnel engaged in the project to complete the construction work within this year, official sources said here today.

Expressing concern over the inordinate delay in spite of their written assurances, the chief minister said that people were suffering due to lack of infrastructure.

Interacting with the Gammon India and BRO officials, the chief minister has said that he would take up the matter with the Centre.

He also directed the agencies to submit monthly progress reports to the district administration on regular basis, sources added.
