TN govt to make submission before SC on location of statue
Chennai, July 21 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today said the state government would go to the Supreme Court to submit that the statue of late Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan would not hinder traffic.
Mr Karunandhi said the state government would submit before the apex court that if the 'Simpson clock' does not obstruct traffic on the Marina, the Sivaji statue also would not cause such a hindrance either.
''If we can save the Simpson clock, then we can save the Sivaji statue also. We are confident that it will remain here,'' Mr Karunanidhi said.
