Re strong by 3 paise, closes at Rs 46.76/77 USD

Mumbai, Jul 21: Indian Rupee today closed stronger by three paise at Rs 46.76/77 per US Dollar compared to the previous close of Rs 46.79 per US Dollar, said a trader in the money market.

Rupee earlier opened at Rs 46.76/78 per US Dollar and in the mid morning session traded at Rs 46.84/86/US Dollar.

RBI today fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 46.83/US Dollar.

The six month forward premia was down at 0.94 per cent and the one year forward premia was fixed at 1.08 per cent.

Rupee however was down against other currencies, aginst Euro it was at Rs 59.20 (59.10), against Pound Sterling it was at Rs 86.70 (86.55 ), and against Yen it was at Rs 40.30 (40.02).
