Philips launches portable digital audio MP3 players
Bangalore, July 21 (UNI) Philips today launched its GoGear Portable Audio MP3 players to broadbase its Indian consumers, especially those young at heart and who enjoy music experience.
Speaking to newspersons here after the launch, Philips India Entertainment Solutions Director Gunjan Srivastava said the jukeboxes, in two variants, provide the easiest way to access and enjoy infotainment by giving ''ultimate control'' over playback and browsing through its cutting edge technology. The range offerred features such as providing convenient wire-free USB transfer, adequate memory storage in the range of 512 MB and one GB, besides voice recording facility.
He said the new products were available at select multi-brand consumer electronics outlets, mobile phone counters and Philips exclusive shops in key cities spread across the country.
Mr Srivastava said the objective was to earn a market share of ten per cent during the first year and be the market leader with over 25 per cent share in the next three years.
He said one Neema Shariff was adjudged the winner in 'The Philips GoGear Contest' held by the company, in partnership with Radio City, for city customers that allowed music enthusiasts to create a play list of their favourite songs.
