ONGC's MP prospecting schedule

Bhopal, July 21 (UNI) The ONGC will complete, by this year's end, drilling work for prospecting coal-bed methane (CH4) reserves in Madhya Pradesh's Pench-Kanhan area spanning Hoshangabad, Chhindwara and Betul districts.

''By next year, the actual reserves' position will be clear.

Methane will prove useful in power generation and, of course, LPG supply,'' Minister of State for Mineral Resources Lakshmikant Sharma said today.

Drilling work began last month.
