No heavy rainfall in next 48 hours.

Kolkata, July 21 (UNI) Kolkata awoke to experience few drizzles in the morning, after the continuous thick downpour for the last few days.

The heavy rains had almost crippled normal life as waterlogging continued to remain in several parts of the city thus making communication difficult.

The weathermen have forecast a moderate rainfall for the next week in the city due to low pressure over central Bay of Bengal.

However, this would result in heavy showers in the coastal areas of West Bengal.

The climate today was rather pleasant as the sun was playing hide and seek with the clouds making it a partly sunny and cloudy weather.

The major respite to the people was the fall in temperature that hovered between 24 degree Celsius to 29 degree Celsius.

However, the relative humidity does not seem to be affected with the rains as it remained as high as 97 per cent.

The met department has also assured that there would be no thundershowers in the next 48 hours.
