National Youth Festival in Pune from Jan 12-16
New Delhi, July 21 (UNI) The twelfth National Youth Festival will be held in Pune from January 12 to 16, 2007, it was announced here today.
About 3,000 youth from across the country are expected to participate in the festival to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand, an official statement said.
Youth delegates from the SAARC countries are invited to attend the festival.
On the inaugural day, awards will be given to youths for excelling in development and social service activities.
The award to individuals consists of a medal, a scroll and a cash award of Rs 20,000, while the award to one voluntary organisation consists of a throphy, a scroll and Rs 1,00,000 in cash.
