Hindustan Motors launches CNG Lancer in Mumbai

New Delhi, July 21 (UNI) Automobile major Hindustan Motors today launched the CNG version of Mitsubishi Lancer in Mumbai.

''Hindustan Motors ensured that the CNG Lancer maintains quality and performance parameters. The company is highly buoyant on the success of the Lancer CNG variant and people will now be able to enjoy luxury with economy keeping the environment green and clean,'' Hindustan Motors Managing Director Ravi Santhanam said.

Priced at Rs 7.30 lakh, the CNG Lancer with 1.5 litre engine is available as an after market fitment. The tank capacity the car is 63 litres taking the driving range to a phenomenal 180 Km.

The CNG conversion kit has been developed for Lancer, based on international design of BRC Italy, approved by Hindustan Motors. The kit and the cylinder design have been approved by Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Pune.

The vehicle is BS Stage III compliant.
