Heavy rains likely in East, Central India
Pune, July 21 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, at many places in Bihar, east Rajasthan, Gujrat, Madhya Maharashtra.
They are also likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, interior Karnataka, Andman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, at isolated places in Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.
The southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Orissa and active in Jharkhand, east Rajasthan and east Madhya Pradesh.
Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in remaining parts of west Rajasthan, where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in.
Heavy rains had occurred at many places in Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh and at many places in Madhya Maharashtra.
Very light rains had occurred at isolated places in Haryana, Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada and Rayalseema.
Rain or thundershowers had occurred at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttaranchal, east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and at many places in Assam, Meghalaya and Vidarbha.
They had also occurred at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujrat, north interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, at isolated places in west Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.
Dry weather prevailed over Jammu and Kashmir.
