HCC Q1 net up 11 pc to Rs 25.12 crore

Mumbai, July 21 (UNI) Hindustan Construction Company Ltd (HCC) has posted a net profit of Rs 25.12 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 22.66 crore in the comparable quarter of the previous fiscal, reflecting an increase of 10.85 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income during the period stood at Rs 580.62 crore as compared to Rs 479.43 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Commenting on the results, HCC Chairman&Managing Director Ajit Gulabchand said, ''It is a matter of pride that HCC has been consistently acknowledged and appreciated for its contribution to the engineering construction sector.
