HC orders for criminal proceedings against an IAS officer

Patna, July 21 (UNI) Patna High Court today ordered for initiating criminal and civil proceedings against a senior IAS officer, V.

Jayshanker for suspending an executive engineer in a wrongful manner.

A single bench of High Court, Justice V N Sinha observed that Mr Jayshanker suspended the executive engineer, Vinan Sharma on filmsy grounds when the IAS officer was secretary to the state water resource department.

The court found that acts of Mr Jayashanker and other officers of the said department were extra legal and action was taken against Mr Sharma without any valid reason.
