Evidence of Pakistani terror groups in blasts: Patil

Mumbai, July 21 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil today claimed that terrorist groups based in Pakistan were behind the 7/11 serial bomb blasts on Mumbai's suburban trains.

''We are confident of gathering evidence on Pakistani groups' involvement in the blasts and would hand over the same to the Central government which, in turn, would hand it over to Pakistan,'' he told mediapersons here.

Mr Patil, who also holds the Home portfolio, said two suspects were nabbed in Bihar close to Nepal border, while the third was arrested in Mumbai vicinity.

It would not be proper to divulge more information, which could hamper the investigation, he added.

He also declined to comment on the arrest of a terror suspect at Mombassa in Kenya in this connection.
